CR planning post
As this is an AU of sorts, it wouldn't hurt to have a little planning and coordination. See if some characters don't start off knowing each other or anything like that. AU your dudes as much or as little as possible; this is the place to do it! Build your social links, be part of the world.
And never forget to bring SP recovering items. You're fucked if your SP hits 0.

Marinette
About them: An aspiring fashion designer and the daughter of two passionate bakers, at her core Marinette is kind, cheerful, generous and outgoing, willing to lend a hand and stick up for those in need. Though at times she may be clumsy, tend to get anxious over "worst-case scenarios", or be prone to making rash, emotion-fuelled decisions of questionable morality, she truly does have the best of intentions behind her actions.
AU info: The single daughter of Tom Dupain and Sabine Cheng, Marinette had a relatively normal life growing up. She lived a modest lifestyle, her parents doing their best to support her while also balancing their responsibilities of owning and operating a bakery. She grew up as many typical girls did, learning from her parents and attending school like normal.
As an aspiring fashion designer, Marinette entered into many fashion-related contests, hoping to both test her own creativity and to try and get noticed by anyone who might be interested in her designs. When her school offered a contest wherein competitors were to design bowler hats that would be judged by fashion mogul Gabriel Agreste, she entered and ended up winning the competition (and managed to thwart one Chloe Bourgeois, the class diva who tried to copy her design and take credit for it). Little did she know that winning that competition would result in Mr. Agreste being interested in her designs and willing to offer her a study-abroad program in Tokyo, where she would help and learn from the promoters showcasing the new Gabriel fashion line.
This is her first serious time away from her parents, but she is excited for the opportunity to learn from the pros and take her first real steps into the fashion industry.
Persona and arcana: Her initial persona is Minerva, of the Lovers Arcana. Whether in superhero guise or not, Marinette breaks her card by reaching up and breaking it with her hand.
Superhero theme: Though being a superhero is thrilling and an important job, Marinette also understands the importance of keeping one's identity a secret. Wanting something completely different from her usual attire, Marinette dons a red and black polka-dotted disguise and the self-given name of 'Ladybug'.
Superpower: Restoration, to a degree. Marinette is able to channel Minerva's power and use it to repair damaged buildings and objects. What she can repair depends on how much power she channels; greater restorations require more power, and she needs to rest in between big projects. Her power is limited to damage that has specifically been caused by shadows or personas.
CR goals: I'm honestly good for any interactions here! Marinette is easy to get along with and once she becomes a part of the team proper will do her best to get to the bottom of the shadow problem. I'm also up for negative CR if you would wish; Marinette can be a bit stubborn and rash at times, leading to some bad results that bite her in the behind later on down the road. Just let me know what you think and we can work something out!
Other Info We Should Know: Due to my work schedule I tend to work evenings (save for Sundays, Tuesdays, and Saturday evenings) so sadly don't expect tags from me during the late afternoon/early evening. However I am all up for tagging in the evening after work or in the morning/afternoon before work! I also will tag forever so don't worry about backtags, I am all cool for them!
Sombra
About them: One of the most notorious hackers around, the girl known as Sombra knows that knowledge is power, and whoever holds the most knowledge has the most power. Getting past locks and uncovering mysteries is her passion, bordering on an addiction; she can almost never turn down the chance of breaking down barriers and uncovering new secrets to exploit. She had a confidence that edges on cockiness, but it comes from knowing that no one is as good as her at what she does. Though emotionally a loner, she has many unique ways of making plenty of "friends" when she needs some.
AU info: Orphaned at a young age, an intelligent young Mexican girl developed a love of computers and discovered a natural talent for the complex puzzles that were programming and hacking. With little other resources available to her, she hacked her way through many of her problems, discovering secrets and information along the way. She sold her information to Los Muertos, a notorious Mexican gang operating under the pretence of trying to liberate the people from corrupt corporate figures. Her hacking gained her much respect amongst the gang. Working with Los Muertos, she realized that information was power, and people, like computers, could be manipulated just as easily.
During her hacking, this girl stumbled across a hidden conspiracy, about Shadows and other strange phenomenon. But upon discovering this conspiracy, she realized that, for the first time, someone took notice of her hacking. These people knew that she had broken into their system, and knew who she was. Her security was shattered.
To preserve herself, the girl erased every trace of herself from everywhere, taking on the monicker of Sombra and fleeing to Tokyo. Though she still continues her hacking spree, now she is determined to uncover the mystery of just what it was she discovered.
Persona and arcana: Her initial persona is El Coco of the Devil arcana. While in suit she makes a show of breaking her card, bringing it up in front of her before 'booping' her card with her finger. Out of suit, she shoots her card with her machine pistol.
Superhero theme: Hiding herself under an alias is no foreign concept to Sombra, as she's been doing it for quite some time now. She still maintains the monicker of 'Sombra', but her appearance while suited up is much bolder and flashier.
Superpower: While suited up she can call upon El Coco's power, allowing him to channel through her and mess with electronics, either disabling them or forcing them to work. Allowing him to channel through her can also allow her to blend with the shadows and make her invisible for a short period of time.
CR goals: Hack all the things. All of them 8/
But no seriously, anything and everything, both good and bad CR! Sombra is always going to try and look out for herself, and is probably going to piss off/find dirt on/play double agent with a few characters if given the chance. But if your character wants to be buddies with this hacker chick, then it could be pretty cool! Let me know what you'd be interested in :3

Orisa
About them: Possessing an advanced, adaptive AI, Orisa is passionate about keeping people safe and providing protection to those in need. Though capable at her task of protecting people, she is still working towards her optimal protocols. She hasn't been built for very long, and her inexperience sometimes proves to be a liability, but she is quick to learn and eager to set any mistakes right again.
AU info: After the success of Aigis as a man-made machine capable of fighting shadows, the Kirijo group began building more anti-shadow machines to help combat this threat. Though the humanoid form was the most promising model, some experimentation in design was taken in order to maximize combat output, which led to them commissioning a small, foreign branch called the Numbani Division to design and create the OR-15 Anti-Shadow machines. Despite their impressive potential, a mission to contain a particularly potent shadow went horribly awry and resulted in almost all of the OR-15 units being destroyed. Deeming them a failure, production ceased.
Despite this disastrous mission, one person saw potential in these models: a young technician named Efi Oladele, part of the Numbani Division. Recruited for her brilliance in robotics, Efi redesigned the OR-15 units and, with some persuasion, was given permission to rebuild one OR-15 unit.
This unit, renamed Orisa, was given a complete makeover and an adaptable AI, enabling her to pass her pre-combat trials with ease. Despite her advanced programming she is still learning and honing her protocols, which has resulted in a few close calls because of this. But she has proven successful in smaller missions and has been relocated to Tokyo to assist in investigating the mysterious sightings and happenings.
Persona and arcana: Her initial persona is Shango of the Strength arcana. She breaks her card by readying a fist and punching forward.
Superhero theme: Being an anti-shadow machine doesn't really require much of a superhero theme... though if someone were to ask, some sort of Super Centaur?
Superpower: Being a robot gives her enhanced strength and endurance that goes beyond traditional human Persona users. In addition to this she can deploy a barrier to help shield against physical harm. She can also call upon Shango to Fortify her, helping cover her weaknesses and prevent her from being knocked down for a short period of time.
CR goals: GIVE ALL THE HUGS. And help protect all the humans. Probably in that order honestly. But honestly I am all up for her meeting new people and learning new things and all that fun stuff, just let me know and we can work things out!
