Meet, greet and eat
(To be perfectly honest, Cornelius didn't expect to find other persona users outside of himself and Guzma. The head of the Skull gang was a stroke of luck, but to have found so many others who can tap into that power and help fight off the shadows...it's a welcome relief.
Not to mention the large, large expansion to Cornelius' circle of friends.
So what's a rich kid to do when he's happy to have an extended circle like this? Throw down. A bunch of money to get everyone nice and fed for a day. He arranged for a catered picnic and invited his fellow persona-users and any friends they wanted to bring along. There's a bit of something for everyone, so pizzas, sandwiches, whatever, really. It's a large, open space, too, of anyone's in the mood for playing around. Just like the food, there's plenty of options there.
Cornelius would be lying if he said he wasn't thrilled to have so many people to hang out with. He just hopes they'll have fun while they're here.)

But it seemed that the strange... world... was the reason for the change. Seemed like a normal guy in all respects outside of that shadowy place.
To others, it seemed strange that the leader of the Skull gang had rolled up with a small posse to talk and mingle with the heir to a place that could get him locked up for a lengthy list of crimes. Yet here he was, chatting it up with others and generally hanging out as he consumed thrice his weight in food as if he were some sort of starving child. He was a Persona User to boot? No fucking way.
Eyes turned away from the drink lifted to his lips, they narrowed as the glass was stilled.]
Yeah? What are you lookin' at?
no subject
[Where the hell did Souji find these people?]
[Oh whoops he was caught staring. Uh...]
[> Give a witty insult
> Compliment him to hide the fact you were staring
> Say nothing]
...Sweet shades, dude.
[Yeah that's all he's got.]
no subject
Yeah, I get that a lot. You tryin'a be a Skull, kid? Flattery gets you a few steps, but doesn't take you straight up to the front door.
no subject
[Pouted lips and tilting her head as she stared up, Rosalia squinted her eyes, stopped, and then did it again.]
... There's an extra curl in your hair today I think.
no subject
[He looked up and reached for his hair, inspecting it for that mystery curl.]
Eh, maybe it's the humidity. It's been a while since I've been somewhere that's tropical almost 24/7.
What it is, Rosieposie?
no subject
Oh, maybe.
Nothing right now, Boss, but maybe something soon? There's a lot of people here; we should play some games!
no subject
Yeah, now that you mention it. As our gracious host says, they all got pulled out of that weird shadowy place.
Hmm... games though, huh? Like card games? I didn't play much in the way of board games growing up.
no subject
[And a lot of people had been pulled into that place. Had they really saved this many? How terrible...]
Hm... I don't know about card games, but we could probably play hide and seek, or tag, and other games like that.
no subject
Rosie, Rosie, Rosie... that's brat stuff! Alright, that's it- you're learning a card game right now.
[He snapped his fingers and one of the female grunts immediately plopped a deck box into his awaiting palm. He gave her a nod of thanks before he slipped the cards loose from their jacket.]
Hmm... let's do 'War'. That one's pretty good.
no subject
[But if Boss wanted to teach her cards, she doesn't mind learning cards. In fact, she looked up as a grunt brought forward the deck of cards.]
... Okay, how do you play?
no subject
Simple: We each have half a deck. We put down one card at a time. Higher card takes both. Goal's to have the whole deck in your hand at the end.
If we have the same number, we go to war. Three cards face-down makes up the ante, and our fourth card is our battler. Whoever's fourth card is higher takes that battle and every card in it.
Questions?
no subject
[She shook her head.]
Nope, I think I get it.
no subject
[He passed half of the cards to her and settled in to get comfy. The grunts devour their cheese, bread and fancy finger sandwiches as they settle in for some decent seats to witness an ass-kicking.]
no subject
[So she took her half of the deck and settled down her her legs crossed. Her tongue came out as she looked over her hand, ready to try her best.]
no subject
How the hell did Rose have almost every face card? He should have said faces don't count, but he usually leaned on having those lucky high faces... but as the game progressed, grunts covering their faces in dismay or stumbling off to get themselves more food because they can't watch a slaughter, Guzma watched his hand reduce to what remained in his hand.]
Okay... okay, next one, you're screwed, kid! You're not hiding cards in your sleeves, right!?
no subject
I think the cards are bigger than my dress sleeves...
[Like... how she always liked to wear a summer dress. Sleeves thinly existed.]
no subject
[Guzma made a face, jaw set. Then he threw down his final couple of cards, a two and a four.]
Okay, that's it! We'll arm wrestle instead!
no subject
Arm wrestle?
no subject
[He blew out a breath, scowled, and sat back with his arms folded. She's a freaking albino kid that requires hats of parasols. What the fuck is he thinking?]
...Forget it. Good... good game. You've got talent.
no subject
I just got lucky. We can play again? Maybe you'll win this time!
no subject
Man, forget it. Cards were always my thing.
[A beat. One of the grunts shrugged.]
Yo, boss... we could always play tag. We got a lot of bodies here.
no subject
[She didn't mean to ruin his favorite game like that. And then the grunt came over of course.]
... Yes. And then you could be 'it' and tag everyone and win! King of Tag!
no subject
[He rubbed his chin.]
Alright, deal. What's the house rules?
no subject
Okay! Well, you'll be 'It' and... hmm, we need to designate a safe spot. It'll give us a place to go while you're trying to tag us, but it has to be something not too big so we might all immediately be considered 'safe'.
no subject
[He stood and rubbed his hands together. The grunts immediately scattered.]
On the count of three!
