"If no one wanted Adrien, there wouldn't be a group of people trying to rescue him right now!" Marinette countered, wildly motioning with a hand to the crowd that had accompanied her. She almost winced at the sympathy that shot through her, especially hearing how the Shadow spoke. Was this was Adrien worried about? He was always such a friendly person, always smiling and trying to be friends with her, even though her crush on him and her position as a study-abroad student got in the way.
